Water and electricity

State of the property

Please keep in mind that the place has been abandoned for many years and the terrain is mostly taken over by nature. The terrain is irregular in both height and shape with lots of terraces that would permit garden areas, orchards and you can still leave a large part as is. The Location

The access is via a public road from Mojacar Playa. The road is partly asphalted, but a large part is a track in bad condition. The property is close to the Las Marinas area at just 2,3km from the beach. 

The lovely old white town of Mojacar is at 3 km from the villa. Here you find the weekly market on Wednesdays, bars, restaurants, primary school and the municipal pool. Along the seaside boulevard of Mojacar Playa, there is a huge variety of international and traditional Spanish restaurants, boutiques, bars, cafes, beach bars and ice cream parlours. There are banks, doctor’s practices, dental clinics and a high school.

Mojacar’s coastline is over 20 km long. It has beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs above the sea and some natural beaches in coves. There are two 18 hole golf courses within a 10  minute drive.

The fishing port of Garrucha is at 8 km. Here is a weekly market on Friday that runs through its narrow streets, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and schools.

The natural reserve of Cabo de Gata, starts 20km from the property. Cabo de Gata has a 70 kilometer long coastline. The highlights of this natural park are the

beautiful beaches. There are many beaches, some crowded and near villages such as Agua Amarga, San Jose, Las Negras or Rodalquilar, others are unspoilt and accessible by country or hiking trails. Other beaches are only accessible from the sea.

Mojacar has over 310 days of sunshine a year. Temperatures during the day in winter tend to be around 16-22 degrees and in summer 28-32 degrees.

The closest airport is Almeria about 45 minutes away, while the international airport of Murcia (140 km) is at one and a half hour . The Alicante airport (200 km) is a two hour drive away. The airport of Malaga is three hours away.
