This authentic, whitewashed village house in Mojacar finds itself at the center of this beautiful, historic little town. It has an unusual lay-out with beautiful and surprising rooms on every floor. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is in a very good condition. This house can be reached by car and has public parking next to and in front of the house. It is 20 m from several good restaurants, 150m from the small, moorish streets with boutiques and bars that lead to the lively main square. The beach is 3km away and there is a good bus connection between the village and the beach.
The House
Antique, double doors open into the spacious hall. You notice that this is a special and unusual home. The hall has high ceilings, wooden fitted closets and the originals floors of baked, ceramic tiles. There is a new bathroom with shower on your left, a staircase that leads to the living areas and at the end of the hall, a cave. The cave was converted into a double bedroom, enjoying a constant temperature throughout the year. There is extra sleeping space on top of the bathroom on the ground floor.
The staircase is finished with wood and red ceramic tiles and splits to the right and to the left when you reach the first floor. On the left is a dining area on a wooden structure, behind it is a sunny dining room with fireplace and sea view.
On your right you find a gorgeous, fully equipped kitchen with view to the living areas.
On the top floor, there is the master bedroom with a confortable en suite bathroom. Next to the master bedroom is a small guest bedroom. A short staircase in front of the guest bedroom leads to the roof terrace.

The terrace has a covered area with outdoor kitchen and dining area, followed by a southern exposed sun terrace. From here you can gaze at the beautiful sea-views and the roof terraces of the village. The terrace has water and electricity.

Condition and finishing
The house is in good condition and has a quality structure. The owners have renovated the house with advice and help of local specialists. They managed to maintain the original features and finishes in the home. Until a few months back, there was a ruin at the right side of the house. It was recently demolished. The now visible outside wall was revised, and is scheduled to be repainted. The photos were taken before these works were carried out.
The house has many steps and is set over three levels inside, therefore may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Use and potential uses
This property is suited as both a permanent home or a second home. As a character, coastal property with fantastic sea-views, it can also provide a good holiday rental income.
The Location
Mojacar with its Moorish past is in the southeastern part of Andalusia. The village, with its white washed houses built on the foothills of the Sierra de Cabrera, overlooks the beaches and the Mediterranean Sea. There is a bus from the village to the beaches of Mojacar Playa.
The village has everything you need to meet your needs. There are several good restaurants and bars in the village, as well as the nicest boutiques and decoration shops of the area, a pre-school and primary school, a communal indoor pool and sports courts.
Three kilometres from the house is Mojacar Playa. Here you will find larger supermarkets, more restaurants, bars and nightclubs, banks, private and public doctors’ offices, dental practices pharmacies and a secondary school.
Mojacar has a coastline of more than 20 kilometres consisting of rocky coves as well as beautiful sandy beaches. You will also find two 18-hole golf courses.
Mojacar has more than 310 days of sunshine a year and daytime temperatures in winter are around 16-22 degrees and in summer between 28 and 32 degrees.
The nearest airport is Almeria about 45 minutes by car, while Murcia International Airport (150 km) is an hour and a half and Alicante airport (200 km) is a two hour drive. Malaga airport is a three hour drive.
