The cortijo
The cortijo is a real treasure as it has all original features: cement floors, gorgeous fireplace and beautiful ceilings. The main entrance to the cortijo is via de back garden. with gate to a small street.
The current owner stored a lot of artisan products in the cortijo and the property feels like a museum. This is a natural area made up of 2,375 hectares of semi-desert terrain whose relevance derives from its geological nature. It is a complex of caves, canyons, sinkholes, geodes and other geological phenomena of karst origin that have been excavated by water erosion in gypsum deposits and which has been declared a Site of Community Interest (LIC). It is made up of gypsum mineral that, for millions of years, has suffered erosion and is the maximum example of gypsum karstification in the Spanish territory and one of the most important in the world.
The entrance to the A7 motorway is 1 km away and connects La Herreria with Almeria airport at 30 minutes, Murcia airport at an hour and forty minutes, Alicante Airport at 2.15 hours and Malaga at 2 and a half hours.
