Exception: as the building plot is in between two existing buildings, in a street section where over two thirds of the street is occupied by existing buildings, the city council may authorise a building height that reaches the average of the building heights in the street. When that average height allows the height of two floors + more than 5/10 of an extra floor height, then three floors will be allowed. 

Preliminary singular house design

An architect studio in Almeria prepared us a preliminary project for the construction of a unique house with swimming pool and garage. The result is just sensational. The architect describes it “as a series of dice placed on the hillside, the appearance of the house in white volumes with few openings, encloses the intimacy of the Moorish interiors of the house. The house is located on the southern slope of the village. The main facade has access by car and spectacular views of the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. The views towards the sea are perceptible almost from any point of the house. The north façade is oriented to a typical Andalusian pedestrian street. The Arab culture floods throughout this house design: white architecture, privacy, and spatial organisation around interior patios have all the hallmarks of the village of Mojácar. ”

The location

The location of this plot is in a quiet area, as it is just outside the commercial area of the village. The historic white village of Mojácar offers you complete comfort with restaurants, bars, shops, schools, a bank, a pharmacy, a sports center with an indoor swimming pool, a weekly market on Wednesday and a medical center, all within walking distance. The beaches of Mojácar are 5 minutes away by car and there is a bus service.

Mojácar has more than 310 sunny days a year and more than 20 km of beaches, which consist of both romantic coves and sandy beaches with all services. The average daily temperature in winter is 16 to 22 degrees and in summer 28 to 32 degrees.

The nearest airport is Almería, about 45 minutes away, while Murcia international airport (140 km) is an hour and a half and Alicante airport (210 km) two hours. Malaga airport is two and a half hours away.
