The Location

The charming Spanish village of Vera is 7 km away and offers a weekly market on Saturday, numerous boutiques, and various supermarkets. The village also has several kindergartens, four primary schools, and three secondary schools, making it a fantastic location for families. The municipal sports center has indoor and outdoor sports fields and an indoor swimming pool. Additionally, there are banks, private and public medical practices, and dentists.

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the Valle del Este golf resort, 10 km away, or the Desert Springs golf course, 7 km from the house. For horseback riding enthusiasts, there are several riding schools about 5 km from the house.

The fishing port of Garrucha has a weekly market on Friday, as well as supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and schools. The new marina in Garrucha offers plenty of berths for rent. The village of Mojacar, a 15-minute drive away, has a coastline of over 20 km with both natural bays, cliffs, and sandy beaches. Mojacar also has two 18-hole golf courses.

Vera and the neighbouring villages benefit from a microclimate with more than 320 days of sunshine per year. Winter temperatures typically range from 16-22 degrees Celsius, while summer temperatures range from 28-32 degrees Celsius.

The nearest airport is Almeria, a 50-minute drive away. Alternatively, the international airports of Murcia and Alicante are 140 km and 200 km away, respectively. Malaga airport is a two-and-a-half-hour drive.
